CPR CERTIFICATION  (Every 2 Years)

HEADS UP CONCUSSION TRAINING 

BACKGROUND CHECKS REQUIRED. 

All coaches must read up and know our local league/DYB rules. 

Coaches are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible by emailing loudondiamondclub@gmail.com  even if registration has not yet opened. Early sign-ups help us assess the need for coaching. However, signing up does not guarantee a coaching position.

All coaches must pass a background check, obtain CPR certification, and complete concussion training. Head coaches are appointed by commissioners and may select one assistant coach. Additional assistants will be assigned after the draft. Coach pitch teams may have up to four rostered coaches, while kid pitch teams may have up to three. All coaches must register through our website.

Expectations & Responsibilities

• Provide an enjoyable and positive experience for all players.

• Develop players' baseball skills through regular practices.

• Demonstrate respect towards players, parents, and game officials, serving as a role model at all times.

• Be knowledgeable of LDC local league rules and Dixie Youth rules.

• In the event of a serious injury (such as unconsciousness or requiring medical attention), the head coach must report the incident to the League Commissioner within 24 hours.

Game & Team Management

• Coaches must assign a parent to keep a scorebook, which can be done on GameChanger or in a physical book.

• The away team is responsible for providing a parent to manage the scoreboard.

• Coaches must report game scores through TeamPass LDC.

• At the end of the season, all coaches should be transparent and collaborative when discussing player skills and observations, regardless of whether they are selected as an All-Star coach.

Uniform Coordination

Coaches are responsible for:

• Informing their team about required belt, sock, and pant colors. A bulk order is often the easiest way to ensure consistency, with parents contributing to the cost.

• Verifying each player's jersey number, size, and last name spelling with parents before submitting the final roster for uniform production.
